Monday Holiday Pick Up

The Monday pick up on August 2nd will continue.  The pick up location will be moved (for those picking up at Sandvine) to 213 Dawson St. To allow those that have out of town plans to still pick up the pick up time will be moved to between 6-8pm. Please make a note of this and make arrangements for someone to pick up your share if you will not be able to make it between these times.  Thanks for your understanding.

U-Pick Beans

Bulk Herbs for Sale

If you are interested in purchasing herbs (parsley, cilantro or basil) in bulk I can add them to my harvest and bring them for you to the next pick up.  One shopping bag full for $25.

Preserving the Bounty

Many items in the harvest can be preserved for a nice winter treat.  Right now Summer Squash, Beans, and Beets, Broccoli,  and herbs can be froze or canned or dried and used later.  This is especially useful if you are having trouble getting through your CSA box each week.  For more information on how to do this you can check out a wonderful website I discovered a few years ago - http://www.uga.edu/nchfp/how/freeze.html.
