Discovering the Miracle You Are
Have you ever taken a minute (or two or well it really could take hours!) to contemplate the miracle you are? Really we are quite amazing creatures - all our joints and muscles. How we can walk, talk, think, digest, breath, feel, smell and hear all pretty much at the same time (well with limitations of course;) On top of that...our cells will be replacing themselves, our heart beating, and our hormones self-regulating! Wow, pretty impressive:)
As Spring has arrived I have been taking time to contemplate the miracle that I am (we are as people). I realized how truly incredible I am and how amazing it is to just be alive! I noticed how often I take my body for granted expecting it to do certain things for me while at the same time criticizing it for not looking or moving in a desired way.
After a conversation with a new friend I began to understand how it is really through this quiet contemplation that we can truly begin healing and loving ourselves:) When we see all that our body does for us, we can begin to see what a miracle we really are! When we see ourselves as a miracle, it then has the power to inspire us to want to take good care of ourselves. Since we literally are what we eat (the food we consume is transformed into our cells) we can start to make better decisions around our choices. I no longer feel there really is right or wrong ways to eat, we simply need to honour our own bodies, and if we listen, they will tell us exactly what they need and when they need it:)
What would happen if we took a moment to pause before eating to also contemplate the miracle of the food we eat? What if we considered it a gift from nature that was been brought to us by loving hands for our own nourishment? Would this change anything? Wow, for me these moments have transformed my relationship to myself, my food, and the world around me!
Of course I'm far from perfect (I like to think of myself as a work in progress;) but it helps me make more mindful choices and each moment is a new chance to start again. It seems to no longer be so much about looking a certain way but rather feeling a certain way, and this is empowering:)
Of course, we don't want to judge our actions negatively. It is enough to simply notice our choices, how it makes us feel, and then decide if we want that feeling again the next time we have a choice to make. Once we notice, we can then make more mindful and conscious decisions. The goal is to still be able to LOVE ourselves even if we make so-called 'bad ' choices:)
With this...I'm excited to announce the launch of Transpire Organic's NEW Wellness Program! We are working with local experts to build a supportive community to explore on a deeper level our bodies, minds, and spirits. Coming together to transform our lives into the fullness of the miracle we truly are:)
You can find out more about the program, upcoming workshops and events at www.transpireorganic.ca/wellness . A whole series of workshops on healthy, whole, abundant living will be starting the beginning of June!

With Love,
